Commemorative buckle celebrating 1953 PRCA World Champion Team Roper and 1971 Academy Award Winner Ben Johnson. Johnson traveled the rodeo circuit in the 1940s and 1950s, later found work at a Hollywood studio in 1943 as a horse wrangler, stunt man and actor. This is a numbered (5000 made) series by Gist Silversmiths in California. Silverplate and jeweler’s bronze. 4” x 3” and for a 1 ˝” belt. Mint condition, brand new.
